6-21-22 THOUGHTS
As in Sunday morning’s lesson, when I close my eyes, I want to see the majesty and glory of the only True and Living God! Below it says “we exult in hope of the glory of God.” Options shown for exult are ”jump for joy”, “be on cloud nine”, “walk on air”, “rejoice”! Helpless folks (US), were gifted our greatest need, as Christ died for our sin. With this in mind, even the hard times of life produce in us positive outcomes. We grow from adversity because GOD SOLVED ALL OF OUR PROBLEMS! We speak of the problems of ETERNITY. The FLESH takes a back seat to the SPIRIT in our world. WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS!
My brother and my sister in Christ, I pray that we know and live in these thoughts!
Rom 5:1-11 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. 6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Rom 8:32-37 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died — more than that, who was raised — who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, "For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered." 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
My Prayer:
O God, may we live in the victory you have provided for us in Christ Jesus. Keep us from the petty, save us from our stuff, chase the unholy from us. May we resist Satan and draw near to You our Awesome Father. Help us hourly to see eternity so clearly that we will choose walking in the spirit over selfish desires for fleshly things. Teach us selflessness. May we be humble in all things. Give us a present righteous fear of You. In the name of our Savior and King, Amen
